Right Leg Fracture, Iniesta Absent For Four Months

JAKARTA - Former Barcelona star Andres Iniesta suffered a fracture while appearing for Japanese club Vissel Kobe in the Asian Champions League, so he was forced to miss for the next four months.

Quoted by Antara from AFP on Wednesday, the 36-year-old footballer has undergone a successful operation in Barcelona.

The injury occurred during the Asian Champions League quarter-final match between Vissel Kobe and Suwon last week.

In a post on Instagram social media, Iniesta said that he had a broken bone in the right leg.

"After undergoing a number of tests, I finally followed the advice of the team of doctors. The best way to treat the injury is to perform surgery and recover quickly, "said Iniesta.

"The operation was successful and at the moment I am in good health," added the Spanish national.
