Some WhatsApp Beta Tests Now Can See Member Profile Photos In Groups

JAKARTA - Meta has brought an update to WhatsApp web, which allows some beta testers to view member profile photos in group chats.

This new feature was first discovered by WABtainfo two weeks ago. At that time, WABTAINfo said that WhatsApp was planning to introduce this feature on desktop and iOS beta.

The point is to help group members identify other people in their group better than ever.

So, if previously you would only see a phone number or contact name in a group chat, with this update, you will be able to see the profile photo of the member next to the phone number or the name of the member.

However, if group members don't prepare profile photos or hide because of their privacy settings, the default profile icon will appear and this icon is colored using the same color as the contact name.
