Jakarta Has An Important Agenda 2023, Acting Governor Heru To Subordinates: We Must Be Gesit
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to work more swiftly in the future. Because, in 2023, Jakarta will have a number of important agendas and will invite busy activities.Heru conveyed this in a leadership meeting (rapim) with a number of officials from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government who discussed preparations for Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023, as well as the Jakarta agenda in the future."Ladies and gentlemen here (in leadership meetings) we must be agile. Plus our tasks, that is a noble task," Heru said at a leadership meeting at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, December 5.Heru said, one of Jakarta's important agendas next year is to hold a meeting of governors and mayors throughout Southeast Asia at the 2023 Mayors and Governors Meeting of the ASEAN Capital (MGMAC) forum as the host. The MGMAC is a forum for leaders of the ASEAN nation's capitals to discuss ideas and development practices, as well as a mechanism to strengthen collaboration among these cities.According to Heru, the DKI Provincial Government must prepare this international forum carefully. He asked the Deputy Governor for Culture and Tourism DKI Jakarta Marullah Matali to help lead coordination with the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government to coordinate with the central government."We have to prepare infrastructure facilities, where is the place for bilateral meetings, where is the place for tourist activities, where is the tempa dinner. That's something we have to think about in detail," said Heru.Although the implementation of the 2023 MGMAC will still run at the end of next year, Heru views that preparations for the event should be carried out since early 2023.This is because the DKI Provincial Government also still has to prepare a policy ahead of Ramadan until Eid Al-Fitr in April, then prepare for the 466th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta on June 22, prepare for Independence Day on August 17, to prepare for the 2023 PON."So, the remaining time in my opinion is January and February, then May. We only have 3 months left. So, later there will be a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a meeting with ASEAN ranks, needed by an echelon I. The Deputy can help me to be able to lead the meeting to be able to complete the technicalities that were announced," he added.
