JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has prepared two train services that will connect the city centers of Jakarta and Bandung with the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB). These services are the Jabodebek LRT and the KCJB Feeder Train. "The presence of the Jabodebek LRT and the Feeder Train will facilitate public connectivity to the KCJB station via a congestion-free and timely transportation system," said VP Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus, in a written statement, Monday, December 5. Using the Jabodebek LRT, said Joni, customers only take 20 minutes from the Jabodebek Dukuh Atas LRT Station to the Jabodebek Halim LRT Station. "The subscription can later move directly from the Jabodebek Halim LRT Station to the KCJB Halim Station because both services have been integrated at the same location," he said. To make it easier for the public, continued Joni, the Jabodebek LRT headway on the Dukuh At-Halim route at a busy hour can reach 8 minutes once. This can be realized because KAI has implemented the most modern technology in the Jabodebek LRT operational. "The community can also use the Commuter Line KRL towards the LRT Jabodebek-connected station, namely Sudirman and Cawang Stations to further continue its journey using the LRT to the KCJB Halim Station," Joni added. After traveling through the Jabodebek LRT for 20 minutes, the KCJB journey from the KCJB Halim Station to the KCJB Padalarang Station will be reached in less than 30 minutes. It is forbidden, said Joni, KAI has provided a feder train service whose schedule according to the arrival schedule for KCJB. There is only 18 minutes of the KCJB Trader Train to get to Bandung Station. "By using the already connected train service, the total time required between the cities of Jakarta and Bandung is about 1 hour journey. With the best KAI technology and SDM, it will ensure that all train travel operates precisely as well as the KAI service currently exists.

KAI continues to prepare facilities and infrastructure for the operation of the KCJB Feeder train. Feeder train facilities are in the form of five series of KRDE where each series consists of five trains. In a series, the KCJB Feeder train with a capacity of 280 customers. In order to increase customer convenience, the KCJB Feeder train is equipped with a baggage and toilet rack facility. As for the KCJB Feeder train infrastructure, currently the physical construction of the Hall or special waiting room for KCJB customers at Bandung and Cimahi Stations has been completed 100 percent. Meanwhile, at Padalarang Station it is still in the construction process. KAI and KCIC are currently preparing minimum service facilities and standards for park and ride and the Feeder KCJB train waiting room. Joni added that KAI will ensure that intermode, inter-mode, inter-peron, availability of waiting spaces, and facilities provided for customers are made as comfortable and as possible. This is one of KAI's efforts to grow public interest in switching to public transportation is through interconnected and integrated train services. "The presence of the Jabodebek LRT and the KCJB Feeder Train is expected to be the public's attraction to use the KCJB which is the first fast train in Southeast Asia. KAI as the consortium leader of PT PSBI which has the majority stake of KCIC is committed to completing KCIC development as expected by the government and society," concluded Joni.
