Ahead Of Comeback To Octagon, McGregor Diancam Manager Justin Gaethje: You'll End Up In A Wheelchair

JAKARTA - Conor McGregor can return to the octagon next year. His potential opponent is Justin Gaethje, one of today's most dangerous lightweight fighters.

Ali Abdelaziz, Gaethje's manager, said they would seek a fight against The Notorious and assured that Gaethje would kill the Irish fighter and retire from the Mixed Self-Defense Arts.

"I'd love to see Justin Gaethje destroy Conor McGregor and put him in a wheelchair. I'd love to see him. No problem, anywhere, he can use all the steroids he wants," Abdelaziz was quoted as saying by Marca on Monday.

"I would love to see this fight, but we know he doesn't like hard fights anymore. He wants an easy fight. He probably won't fight Justin Gaethje."

Gaethje came from the defeat of Brazil's Charles Oliveira. He thought, with that defeat, the door to fight McGregor could be open.

However, he also said that The Notorious would no longer fight competitively.

"I mean, I lost, so there's a better chance it's going to happen," Gaethje told ESPN. "He's just fighting the losing people, and this is us."

"I don't think that's going to happen at all. I think there's a chance of about 0 percent. Why is he fighting again? I don't think he will fight. I mean a pure fight, a tight entertainment value, maybe.

"But as far as he comes back and becomes a competitive athlete, trying to fight for the title, never at all will. He might fight (Jorge) Masvidal. (Nate) Diaz left, so he ganged up there."

McGregor hasn't fought since 2021, having lost to Dustin Poirier where he ended up with a broken left leg.
