Memories Of Ji Chang Wook In Jakarta, Goods Will Not Be Missless
JAKARTA - Korean actor Ji Chang Wook accompanied his fans in Indonesia by presenting various performances ranging from voting to magic about 150 minutes or 2.5 hours on Saturday, December 3 yesterday.
The event titled 2022 JI CHANG WOOK FAN MEETING 'Reach You' IN JAKARTA that night became his first encounter with fans after nearly three years of being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actor has repeatedly expressed his happiness in being able to really come to Indonesia, especially Jakarta and look directly at them. Like the theme of the event he carried, Ji Chang-wook hopes to really reach his fans.
Starting a performance in front of fans, he sang the theme song for the drama The Sound of Magic entitled Do You Believe In Magic.
After singing, Ji Chang-wook greeted the fans and introduced himself by saying the word in Indonesian, "Hello, how are you. I'm Ji Chang-wook. Thank you,".
He admitted that he was late in singing on the intro of the song. This was amazed to hear the voice of the fans who greeted him when the show started.
The actor's total features about five other drama themes including To the Butterfly from the drama Empress Ki, Kissing You from the drama 7 First Kisses, 101 Reasons Why I Like You from the drama Suspicious Partner and I'll Protect You from Healer.
When asked by the presenter of the event to describe Indonesian fans in one word, he mentioned Mantul and Unyu.
A fan meeting event then continued on a talk session. At that time, he briefly discussed the dramas he had starred in such as If You Wish Upon Me (2022) and The Sound of Magic (2022).
Regarding The Sound of Magic, he said his genre was different from his previous works, but he enjoyed the shooting process. This is a musical drama that presents a magical experience full of fantasy, music, and drama.
The series tells the story of Yoon Ah-yi, a girl who loses her dream in the midst of her hard life, and Na Il-deung, a man who is under pressure to achieve his dream.
Their meeting with a mysterious writer named Rieul leads to an extraordinary story.
Ji Chang Wook plays character as Rieul. As a character, he admits that he must be confident and believe in magic. He said it was difficult to play this role, but finally enjoyed the process.
Discussions related to drama also continued on the title Lovestruck in the City (2020). According to him, this describes the reality of dating style. He who plays the character Park Jae-won puts part of himself into the role.
"This character is my most favorite. My nature and behavior, I put it in this character. Many fans say liking Park Jae-won's character is fun," he said.
On the sidelines of the talk, the presenter asked Ji Chang-wook to make a sound to be used as a wake-up alarm. The fans were then asked to capture it with their cellphones. The actor then said, "Wake up my daughter and Bangun dear." The fans screamed because of it.
Then, when discussing the drama Suspicious Partner (2017), Ji Chang-wook was asked which role he wanted to play in the upcoming project and the actor called the doctor.
The question for him continues with his favorite haircut, poncation or not and he answers both.
Ji Chang-wook was also asked if he still maintains the muscles of his stomach as in the drama The K2 (2017). He was surprised and said that in the latest action genre drama, there would be a scene that would answer that question. The drama is titled The World of Evil and will air in 2023.
Not only talking, Ji Chang-wook also had the opportunity to interact with fans through drama scenes, such as umbrella scenes in the drama "The K2". The fans were lucky to be able to express their feelings to the actor, take selfies with Ji Chang-wook and even get a hug.
On stage, he also played three magic tricks resulting from independent learning which again invited fans to get involved.
A video of the actor's journey was played showing him at an airport in South Korea, arriving in Jakarta, tasting various Indonesian dishes and shopping at a mini market in Jakarta.
Ji Chang-wook then took the time to take a walk to enjoy the night in various iconic corners of the city.
"The food is good. The weather in Jakarta is better than I was worried about. This will not be forgotten," he said, who claimed to like the chicken, rendang and fried rice satai.

Towards the end of the event, he was asked to convey his feelings. He again expressed his joy, thanked the fans for their support and could be closer to them.
He read a letter to fans. He hopes to meet again in the future and is motivated to do better things for his fans.
After the event, he gave a wave of hands and a heart that was formed from his hands to each fan at the exit. This was his last gift before separating, after a series of appearances on stage for almost 2.5 hours.
Previously, Ji Chang-wook had to postpone fan meetings in Jakarta twice due to the spread of the corona virus in February 2022.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on March 14, 2020, then rescheduled to September 19, 2020. Until finally the event actually took place on Saturday night.
"It's been three years it's been delayed, I can't meet you. But finally we can meet face-to-face like this, it's amazing," said Ji Chang Wook, who admitted that he was amazed by the enthusiastic screams of his fans.
