SOEs Participate In Developing ToD Concepts Together With Regional And Private Governments

Deputy for Human Resources of SOEs, Technology and Information at the Ministry of SOEs, Tedi Bharata, emphasized that a number of SOEs participated in developing the implementation of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept in Jakarta together with local governments and the private sector.

"BUMN is also improving TOD as a new concept for developing cities, which continues to be carried out together with local and private governments," said Tedi Bharata in the release of the Blok M Green Collabs: Shifting Into Green Lifestyle in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, December 5. He reminded that the TOD concept was starting to be implemented in the city of Jakarta to support the development of the metropolitan city, even though later the nation's capital was moved to East Kalimantan.

In developing urban planning, Tedi said the government must look at the future, how can Jakarta develop after the archipelago becomes the new capital city

"BUMN has many assets, and along with business changes, there are several assets that can be revitalized. The revitalization of these assets has been carried out, and this will continue to be done. For example, old buildings in Jakarta have been renovated and used as cafes, hang out places, and entertainment venues," said Tedi.

Another speaker, Head of the South Jakarta City Culture Sub-department, Puspla Dirdjaja, revealed that his party plans to hold cultural arts activities, which will later support the creativity of young people, such as in the Christina Literacy Park Martha Tiahahu, South Jakarta.

Pakuwon Jati Director Alexander Stefanus Ridwan Suhendra mentioned a number of benefits from the implementation of the TOD concept for the development of Jakarta.

"The benefits are extraordinary. With the existence of TOD, these activities will become more centralized, for example, activities in the park (Russia Martha Tiahahu), which can show what has been done. For example, high school children are not too far away from holding art activities," said Alexander.

Meanwhile, the Director of Business Development of MRT Jakarta, Farchad H. Mahfud, revealed plans in the future that will be carried out to create Jakarta as an environmentally friendly green city.

Farchad H Mahfud stated that his party is developing a Green Creative Hub, which is a creative activity such as the digital business and developing more green areas.

Regarding environmentally friendly cities, a number of companies have made a number of efforts to achieve zero emissions. Brahmantya S. Poerwadi as Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero) explained that Pertamina will no longer use fossil fuels in the future.

"Pertamina as a BUMN also ensures to remain obedient to government policies in realizing the net zero emission target. So Pertamina develops an energy transition until 2030, by reducing emissions by 29 percent," said Brahmantya.
