Jadi Bank Teratif Dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Keuangan Versi LPS, BRI: Upaya Untuk Capai Champion Of Financial Inclusion 2025
JAKARTA PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI won an award as the most active bank in Increasing Public Financial Literacy (LPS Banking Awards) at the 2022 LPS Awards organized by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).
BRI Network and Service Director Andrijanto revealed that as the bank with the widest network in Indonesia, BRI is always to support the government in achieving the target of 90 percent financial inclusion by 2024.
According to him, the company continues to optimize the role of digital extension workers to assist the public in accessing various financial services.
This achievement is proof of our hard work which has been highly dedicated to socializing and educating the Indonesian people. This financial literacy education is part of efforts to achieve the vision of becoming a Champion of Financial Inclusion in 2025," he said in a press statement, Sunday, December 4.
Andrijanto added that this success was due to a number of strategies carried out by the company. First, invite and educate people who have not been literate with digital banking services. Second, teach the public to make digital transactions.
Meanwhile, the third is to socialize and educate the public on how to secure personal data and banking data in order to avoid digital crimes.
BRI continues to innovate to provide services that are easily accessible to the public, one of which is through digitization and official application services. Don't forget to optimize BRILink's Agent which allows integration with third-party applications," he said.
Andrijanto explained, until the third quarter of 2022 the number of BRILink agents had reached 597,177 who worked to assist customers in meeting banking service needs.
"The BRILink agent is spread across 58,095 villages or has reached more than 75 percent of villages in Indonesia," he stressed.
Andrijanto added that BRILink's agent is a concrete manifestation of BRI being present to serve the community down to the 3T region, namely leading, remote, and lagging behind.
"We want to further expand banking access by prioritizing the aspect of probability or proximity. We provide a touch of digitization through BRILink mobile so that services can be faster," he concluded.
