For the film version, Shostakov and Romanoff became a team and a family with Yelena Belova. The backdrop for the Black Widow story will revolve around Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Although it has been around since Iron Man 2 as Tony Stark's assistant, Black Widow only got his solo film this year. Reporting from an interview with NME, David Harbor said this film will be closely related to Captain America: Civil War so that fans can see a different and dark side to Black Widow through this Cate Shortland-directed film.

As the opening for the fourth MCU quartet, Black Widow will be followed by The Eternals, which will air on November 6 and has started shooting.
