JAKARTA - The government of Kudus Regency, Central Java, has ensured that the construction project of three cigarette production warehouses worth IDR 4.1 billion to increase capacity in the Tobacco Products Industrial Estate (KIHT) can be completed as planned.

He revealed that the construction project for the three cigarette production buildings will begin at the end of September 2022 and is targeted for completion before the end of December 2022.
The progress of the current development, he said, is still in accordance with the planning, so it is optimistic that it can be completed before the end of December 2022.
Next year, he added, small cigarette entrepreneurs who have registered to rent a warehouse can already occupy it.
Of the three warehouses that were about to be built, some were 400 square meters in size with a budget of Rp1.86 billion, then 300 square meters in size with a budget requirement of Rp1.39 billion and a size of 200 square meters with a budget of Rp1.16 billion. The construction budget comes from funds for excise and tobacco products (DBHCHT).
Meanwhile, the value of the first activity package ceiling was Rp. 1.39 billion, then the second package had a ceiling value of Rp. 1.86 billion and the third package was Rp. 1.16 billion.
With the addition of three production warehouses, KIHT's capacity from the previous 11 warehouses became 13 warehouses in response to the high interest of small cigarette entrepreneurs in renting the place.
The Manpower Office of Industry, Cooperatives, Kudus SMEs noted that so far there are 17 small cigarette entrepreneurs who have registered to be able to occupy KIHT. However, because their capacity is limited, they must be patient.
