Died In Papua, The Body Of Bripda Gilang Aji Was Buried In Lampung

A member of the Lampung Police Mobile Brigade Unit named Bripda Gilang Aji Prasetyo who died as a result of an attack from an armed criminal group in Papua was buried in his hometown in South Lampung.

"The body has been dispatched to his hometown to his family's house in South Lampung this morning," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, in Bandarlampung, Friday, December 2, quoted from Antara.

He said that when he arrived at his family's residence, the body would be prayed and went straight to the cemetery, which of course was in Merbau Mataram District.

"In this case, of course, we are all deeply saddened by the death of a Bhayangkara Brigadier 1 Anumerta Gilang Aji Prasetyo," he said.

He said the state, in this case, had raised the rank of the late Gilang to a higher level than the previous rank, namely Brigadier two to Brigadier one.

"Let's pray for the deceased together that he will be calm by His side and the family left behind will be given courage," he said.

Brigadier Gilang who died while serving as a member of the Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force in Papua was received directly by the Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Akhmad Wiyagus at the Lampung Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters on Friday at 02.00 WIB.

The personnel of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Lampung Police were shot dead by an unknown person at Bridge 2 on Jalan Poros Logpon KM 7, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Province, Wednesday, November 30 at 16.15 WIT.

The incident began with a fielding in the mountains carried out by OTK against personnel from the Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force at the Logpon Post.

The personnel were intercepted after carrying out patrols around Dekai City and will return to Logpon Post.
