Starting From The Focus Of Post-Disaster Handling, The Police Consist On Building Bursts In Nagrak Cianjur

CIANJUR - Police deployed heavy equipment to clean up the rubble of mosques and residents' houses to locations affected by the Cianjur earthquake, West Java.

Kapolsek Cianjur, Kompol Faisal said, the joint SAR team consisting of Polri personnel began to focus on handling post-disaster management by cleaning up collapsed building debris including the Al-Falah mosque in Nagrak, Nagrak Village, Cianjur District.

"Cianjur must rise and recover soon, we unload heavy equipment to get rid of collapsed building debris so that it can be completed quickly, including the surrounding houses so that when rebuilding, there will be no problems," he said in Cianjur, Thursday, December 1, as reported by Antara.

Fast handling together after the earthquake disaster 5.6 rocked Cianjur, he said, immediately so that people who fled could return to their homes in order to live a normal life and residents whose houses were damaged could be rebuilt.

Not only cleaning up the rubble of buildings that collapsed due to the earthquake, the Cianjur Police also provided various services for earthquake victims such as setting up public kitchens, health service posts to patrol villages and displaced housing.

"We have also added patrol schedules to various affected areas that are included in the jurisdiction of the Cianjur Police, in order to provide a sense of comfort for residents while evacuating and leaving their homes where security is still monitored," he said.

Until the 11th day after the incident or Thursday, December 1, 703 people were injured, 328 died, and 12 people were in search.

This earthquake also caused 108,720 people to flee. They were spread over 39,985 refugee points consisting of 52,987 men and 55,733 women.

Previously, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.6 in about 10 km southwest of Cianjur Regency, West Java on Monday 21 November at 13.21 WIB. The epicenter was on land at a depth of 10 km at coordinates 6.84 South Latitude and 107.05 East Longitude.
