The treasurer of the Rekok Community Group (Pokmas) Jati Kuning Indrianto, the defendant in the case of corruption in the earthquake-resistant housing program (RTG) in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, was sentenced to 5 years in prison.In the trial of the verdict at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, the panel of judges also sentenced the defendant Indrianto to a fine of Rp. 300 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison."The order to charge the defendant Indrianto to pay compensation for state losses of Rp445 million," said Chief Judge I Ketut Somanasa in a trial quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 30.If the defendant is unable to pay the replacement money within 1 month of the inkrah decision, the panel of judges continued, the defendant's property will be confiscated and auctioned off to cover the value of the replacement money.Furthermore, if the defendant's property is not sufficient, the defendant must replace it with imprisonment for 1 year and 6 months in prison.The verdict of the panel of judges is in accordance with the demands of the prosecutor who stated that the defendant was found guilty of violating the primary indictment, Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.The judge also determined that the defendant remained in custody. In addition, all evidence in this case was requested to be returned to the investigator. The money deposited from the defendant worth Rp. 16.7 million was asked by the judge to be returned to the investigator as material for the completeness of further investigation.The judge's consideration in passing the verdict, in accordance with the facts revealed in the trial, that the defendant used the money that emerged as a loss to this country to gamble.In addition, the defendant committed a criminal act of corruption in the government program to restore the situation of the community after the earthquake that occurred in 2018.The Depok Jati Kuning Pokmas for Sigerongan Village, West Lombok Regency, in 2018 received Rp1.79 billion in assistance for 70 heads of families affected by the disaster. The assistance is for repairs and construction of affected houses.Disbursement through three stages. The first stage was distributed Rp. 500 million, the second stage was distributed Rp. 750 million, and the third stage was distributed Rp. 90 million.However, after the government disbursed the budget until it entered the pocket of the pokmas, a number of residents who were registered as recipients did not receive assistance.It was revealed that the money had been enjoyed by the defendant Indrianto who acted as treasurer of the pokmas. This has also hampered the RTG project in the area.
