No More Transverse Horizontal Cables, Syahdunya At Tugu Jogja
YOGYAKARTA - The process of "ducting" or planting aerial cables, both electric and fiber optic cables around the Tugu Kota Yogyakarta intersection, has been completed, leaving only the work of removing public street lighting poles and optical fiber poles that are no longer in use.
"All the electricity and fiber optic cables around the Tugu intersection are clean, all have entered" ducting ". There are no longer any overhead cables crossing, ”said Yogyakarta City Head of Public Works for Housing and Settlement Areas (DPUPKP) Umi Akhsanti as quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 15.
However, according to him, there are still about four public street lighting poles (PJU) that must be removed and removed because they are no longer in use. The work to remove the PJU poles that are no longer in use is targeted for completion on Tuesday (15/12).
In addition, continued Umi, a number of cellular phone providers are still cleaning up unused poles and fiber optic cables.
"There are still a few fiber optic cables left at the Tugu intersection corners. The provider is cleaning those unused cables, "he said.
He is optimistic that the arrangement for the Tugu Yogyakarta intersection can be completed on time on December 17.
"Within three days, the finishing work remains and at the same time cleaning the area," he said.
Meanwhile, the pedestrian arrangement work on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman from the Gondolayu Bridge towards the Tugu Yogyakarta intersection is almost completed, reaching around 90 percent.
“As per the contract, work ends on 23 December. Now it looks messy because there are a lot of works being done simultaneously, ”said Umi.
He said all cellular phone providers are working to lower the fiber optic cable and remove unused poles. The fiber optic cable on Jalan Sudirman is also planted under the sidewalk. "This is what makes conditions look messy," he said.
As for the pedestrian revitalization work, Umi said, leaving only terrazzo polishing work, completing street furniture such as chairs, and installing lighting.
The arrangement concept on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman pedestrian refers to the philosophical axis area. "The design is almost similar to the pedestrian on Jalan Malioboro including the garden design," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Yogyakarta City DPUPKP, Hari Setya Wacana, said the same thing, namely that all work goes according to the set rules.
"The work will be completed at the time stipulated in the contract," he said, saying that the revitalization of the Tugu and Jalan Sudirman intersection was financed using special funds.
