The COVID-19 Task Force Asks The Police To Take Decisive Action Against The Village Head During The PSBB Patrol In Kemang
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Wiku Adisasmito said the perpetrators of the attack on the Cipete Utara Urban Village in South Jakarta, related to health protocol raids, must be dealt with firmly by the authorities.
"There is one serious matter I need to convey. Last week the central task force received a report of the looting of the village head in South Jakarta during a health protocol raid. This should not have happened," Wiku said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 15.
Wiku said the raid on health protocols carried out by the village head was a step to protect the community from the dangers of COVID-19.
"Those who obstruct, especially carry out persecution, must be dealt with firmly by the authorized officers," said Wiku.
He appealed to the public who had a similar incident to report it to the regional task force and the authorities.
"We must both monitor violations of health protocols so that they have a deterrent effect on the perpetrators and similar incidents will not happen again," he said.
The Task Force expressed gratitude to regional and environmental leaders, one of which is the Head of North Cipete Village, who is not afraid to oversee the implementation of health protocols in his environment.
He hopes similar incidents will not create bad precedent or fear in carrying out tasks.
"Regional leaders can take the motivation of the village head in protecting residents from the dangers of COVID-19," he said.
