Lecture Subordinate, Minister Of Health Terawan: Don't Try Corruption

JAKARTA - Minister of Health (Menkes) Terawan Agus Putranto reminded all staff at the Ministry of Health not to commit acts of corruption.

This was conveyed by Terawan after submitting the 2021 budget executor list (DIPA) to each work unit within his ministry. He also asked each Ministry of Health official to immediately allocate 2021 APBN budget funds for procurement spending in January.

"Remember transparency, accountability, and auditing. Don't try to do collusion, corruption and nepotism," said Terawan in his written statement quoted from the Ministry of Health's website, Tuesday, December 15.

The former head of the Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Subroto also reminded officials within his ministry not to accept gratuities or promise anything that could lead to acts of corruption.

"Don't try to do these things or think about things like that. Because, first, it is not good, it will not be a blessing, it will not be accepted, and in my opinion it is a violation of the law," he said.

Furthermore, Terawan also emphasized that budget executing officials are expected to immediately identify procurement activities, both goods and services. In addition, they are also expected to make details of the implementation of activities in detail and enter into procurement contracts.

Not only that, he reminded that the implementation of procurement and implementation of work should be carried out in January 2021 with supervision, monitoring, and implementation of online activity evaluation carried out by the Inspectorate General and the Secretary General at the Ministry of Health.

"I asked the Inspector General together with the Secretary General to monitor any activities that, if there was a tendency to go in an inappropriate or bad direction, immediately carry out supervision, immediately be accompanied so that there are no intentions that eventually lead to trouble," he said.

"All activities are carried out using economic, effective and efficient principles as well as being transparent and accountable. This is a procurement process that we must do," he concluded.
