Update On The Alleged Blasphemy Case By Sule, Police Investigate The Materials Of The Report
JAKARTA - Comedian Sutisna alias Sule and his two colleagues, Budi Dalton and Mang Saswi, have been officially reported by Syahrul Rizal as Chair of the Allocation of the People's Love of the Prophet (AMPERA) on 23 November. The police from Polda Metro Jaya have confirmed the report.
"In principle, each of these reports will be followed up and of course an in-depth investigation will be carried out regarding the material of the report. After that, it is only scheduled to examine the complainant and the reported parties and witnesses," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan on Tuesday, November 29.
Zulpan emphasized that reports against the three comedians along with evidence had been well received and had been investigated by police investigators, but he did not specify when the examination of the parties would be carried out.
I checked the schedule for the examination first, but what is clear is that the report has been investigated. The police report has been received and has been accompanied by evidence. Regarding the schedule for the summons related to the report, the investigators will check again. But what is clear is that the report is true and is currently being processed further,"
On the other hand, Muhammad Mualimin as the attorney of the reporter, Syahrul Rizal said that his party had been contacted by investigators to undergo examination. He also hopes that the legal process can run quickly.
My client has also been contacted by investigators. The plan will be investigated further on December 1. As a reporter, we are happier if the examination of witnesses and reported parties is scheduled to be faster. That means this case is getting brighter," said Muhammad Mualimin via text message, Wednesday, November 29.
The lawyer also wondered why the three reported comedians, Sule, Budi Dalton and Mang Saswi, did not respond to their reports. He considered the three comedians as silent on his client's report.
"We are also waiting for Budi Dalton, Sule, and Mang Saswi's responses. The three of them seem to be silent or somewhere since they were reported," he said.
Furthermore, Mualimin also asked investigators to bring in criminal experts, religious experts, linguists and microexpression experts in the examination.
"We hope that investigators will also immediately appoint competent and capable experts. In order for law enforcement in this case to run objectively and be scientifically accountable," he concluded.
