Manny Pacquiao Eyes 3 Opposing Candidates Next Year, One Of Them Is Conor McGregor

JAKARTA - Manny Pacquiao is aiming for two fights next year. There are three opposing candidates he is eyeing.

The eight-division champion, who currently holds the belt for the WBA super welterweight title, has not boxed since July last year. His 2020 boxing plans were thrown into disarray by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The boxer who is also a Senator of the Philippines is currently focused on his political duties, but told the Philippine daily, the Daily Tribune, he said "We still have a hearing in March so I will not be boxing until then.

However, he continued, "I think I can box twice next year."

It's just that he just wants to enter the boxing ring again as early as April 2021.

The Filipino boxer, who turns 42 this week, includes WBO champion Terence Crawford or IBF champion Errol Spence Jr on his list of opponents next year.

He is also ready to fight against UFC star Conor McGregor.

The last time Pacquiao boxed was in the 71st bout that took place in Las Vegas when he overthrew previously undefeated Keith Thurman on points.
