Kabareskrim Affirms Polri To Handle FPI Laskar Case To Attack Police
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters emphasized that the process of investigating the case involving six special FPI troops guarding Rizieq Shihab was related to the alleged attack on officers. This investigation is based on a police report (LP).
"The process we are currently handling is related to reports of attacks on officers," said the Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to reporters, Tuesday, December 15.
However, Listyo said that in the investigation, his party also investigated the alleged shooting of the six members of the special army. This is done to accommodate parties who feel aggrieved in the series of cases.
"However, of course we will establish in a position where when there is other input, we will otherwise accommodate," he said.
Listyo has not informed the progress of the investigation. The reason is, everything is still being worked on so that the results can be accounted for.
"So we are leaving it to our investigators to continue until then the final results of our investigation can be truly accounted for," he said.
Previously, 6 members of the Special Laskar guarding Rizieq Shihab were shot dead by the police. They were given strict action for attacking police officers.
This police firm action began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for the investigation of Rizieq Shihab. This is because the police received information that there would be a mass mobilization.
But during the investigation process by following Rizieq's movement, members of the Polda Metro Jaya were attacked.
According to the police, the attack took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road. The attack was started with a special army car which stopped the police car.
Then, about 10 of the special laskar attacked the members' cars using firearms (senpi) and sharp weapons (sajam). Until finally the police returned the shots. As a result, six people died at the location. Meanwhile, four other troops fled.
