PONTIANAK - President Joko Widodo blusukan checked the price of food and handed over assistance in the form of additional working capital for traders at Kemuning Market, Pontianak, West Kalimantan today."Every time I go to my area, I always go to the market to check prices, in addition to providing additional working capital, the important thing is to check prices. What kind of inflation, is there an increase in goods and services," said Jokowi at the Kemuning Market, Pontianak, quoted via Antara, Tuesday, November 29.In Pontianak, Jokowi appreciated the local government's good work in controlling inflation in the regions. This can be seen from the prices of foodstuffs, such as shallots and garlic, which have decreased, as well as stable cooking oil prices in the market."I asked the Mayor (Pontianak Edi Rusdi Kamtono) what kind of inflation, (he said) in Pontianak below 5 (percent). That's good, below the national level, very good," added Jokowi.He also explained that the increase in the price of goods and services was a problem faced by all countries. Therefore, he encouraged local government officials to coordinate and work together with the central government in controlling inflation."We are trying so that we can control inflation, we can manage it, so that it continues to fall. We hope for it," said Jokowi.Also accompanying President Jokowi in the review of the Kemuning Market were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, West Kalimantan Governor Sutarmidji, and Pontianak Mayor Edi Rusdi Kamtono.
