WhatsApp Finally Believes In The Message Yourself Feature Globally
JAKARTA - Some time ago, WABetaInfo reported WhatsApp was testing a feature where users could send messages to themselves or Message Yourself, now the feature is officially rolling out globally.
This Message Yourself feature can be like a reminder, save more personal as a note, and save a shopping list.
Now, the feature is rolling out globally for iOS and Android users in the coming weeks.
After getting an update, users will be able to see their own contacts at the top of the contact list when creating a new message. Click that and users will be able to send notes, reminders, shopping lists, and other things they may need to remember.
When users send messages, they will get notifications if enabled. Users can also embed their Message Yourself chat to the top of the conversation list for easier access.
Launching Engadget, Tuesday, November 29, previously, users can only send messages to themselves by creating a group containing their own user's contact number as a member or by using the click feature to chat with the app.
Features like Message Yourself are not only owned by WhatsApp, rival messaging platform Signal already offers a feature called Note to Self that does the same many things.
