Corruption Eradication Commission Deputy Karyoto Positive For COVID-19, Isolation At The Police Hospital
JAKARTA - Deputy for Enforcement of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Karyoto tested positive for COVID-19. Currently, Karyoto is carrying out independent isolation at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, Jakarta.
"Based on the information we received, it is true that the KPK Deputy for Action is currently in independent isolation at the National Police Hospital in connection with the mitigation procedures for handling COVID-19," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement to reporters, Tuesday, December 15.
However, it is not certain when the former DIY Deputy Police Chief was confirmed positive for COVID-19. It's just that, said Ali, Karyoto is in good shape.
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Enforcement is now the Director of Investigation of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto. All tasks related to law enforcement, continued Ali, will also continue as usual.
"Regarding the task of prosecuting the KPK, it is still running as usual. The Deputy of Enforcement is the Director of KPK Investigations," he concluded.
