KPK Kasih Perhatian Lebih Buat Trend Pengurangan Hukuman Lewat Peninjauan Kembali

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is paying attention to the phenomenon of reduced sentences through a review (PK) at the Supreme Court (MA). Moreover, recently many judges have become suspects, including Supreme Court Judge Gazalba Saleh.

"The reduction of sentences at the PK level is rampant. Well, that is also our concern," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto to reporters, Tuesday, November 29.

However, Karyoto said, the KPK could not move much because they had to pocket evidence. However, it is not impossible that in the future the KPK will carry out investigations of existing cases.

"But what is clear is that everything is based on the adequacy of the existing evidence," he said.

Previously, the KPK named Gazalba Saleh as a suspect because he was promised 202,000 Singapore dollars or equivalent to Rp. 2.2 billion to decide that the management of the Intidana Cooperative, Budiman Gandi Suparman, was guilty and sentenced to 5 years in prison.

In this case of case management at the Supreme Court, the KPK has named 13 people as suspects. They are Supreme Court Justice Gazalba Saleh, Judicial Judge Prasetio Nugroho and Gazalba staff, Redhy Novarisza.

Meanwhile, 10 other people are the inactive Supreme Court Judge Sudrajad Dimyati, Judicial Judge or substitute clerk, Elly Tri Pangestu (ETP); two state civil servants (ASN) at the Supreme Court, Desy Yustria (DY) and Muhajir Habibie (MH); and two ASN in the Supreme Court, Nurmanto Akmal (NA), and Albasri (AB).

Next, lawyers Yosep Parera (YP) and Eko Suparno (ES) as well as debtors of the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative, Heryanto Tanaka (HT), and Debtor of the Savings and Loans Cooperative Ivan Dwi Kusuma Sujanto (IDKS).
