Public Prosecutor Rejects Nikita Mirzani's Exception, Attorney: It's Definitely An Objection

BANTEN - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) rejected the exception filed by Nikita Mirzani in the defamation case at the Serang District Court (PN). Request that the Panel of Judges of the Serang District Court in this case impose an interim decision, said the Public Prosecutor in the Serang District Court in the afternoon room, Monday, November 28. Meanwhile, Nikita Mirzani's attorney, Fahmi Bachmid, said that it was normal for the Public Prosecutor to reject the exception submitted at the trial. According to him, the final decision in the hands of the Panel of Judges will be read out on December 5, 2022.

"So maybe the exception has not been rejected, because it has not been decided. If the prosecutor objected, it would definitely object. It's impossible for the prosecutor to justify his exception, that's the opposite. The prosecutor will definitely reject it, and we will definitely object to the prosecutor's indictment," said Fahmi after the trial, Monday, November 28. Fahmi hopes that the panel of judges can grant the objection note submitted by his client at the trial. We are waiting for what happens next week, hopefully what Niki wants can be granted," he concluded. For information, the Public Prosecutor conveyed three points of the indictment alleged against Nikita Mirzani, namely Article 36 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 51 paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions. Then there is Article 27 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (3) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and Article 311 of the Criminal Code
