Solskjaer Needs Players Who Are Willing To Break Their Noses To Score Goals
JAKARTA - The closing of the winter transfer window is approaching. Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still hasn't got the striker he wanted. How is the fate of Manchester United?
United did win 1-0 over city rivals Manchester City in the EFL Cup semi-final (Carabao Cup), Wednesday, January 29. However, that was not enough to qualify them for the final because in the first leg they lost 1-3 at Old Trafford.
In that match, Solskjaer was again without top scorer Marcus Rashford who suffered a back injury. Anthony Martial and 18-year-old Mason Greenwood as the coach's only options could not do much.
"We need more goalscorers, we need more goals. That's for sure," said the United manager, quoted by Soccerway, Thursday.

"I need someone who is willing to break their nose or their toes to score goals. He doesn't have to be a good player. We know that."
United are currently fifth in the Premier League, six points outside of the top four. They are running out of time to bring in new forwards, but Solskjaer is determined to get more goals from the players who are ready for him.
The transfer of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP to Old Trafford has been confirmed. This was conveyed by the Red Devils through their social media accounts on Wednesday.
"Manchester United are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with Sporting CP for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes. The transfer will take place pending the results of medical tests and approval of personal terms," tweeted Manchester.

Fernandes is not an attacker. The type of play is much different from Rashford's. Throughout this season, from 28 matches, the Sporting captain has played as an attacking midfielder 23 times.
The Portuguese player is predicted to play behind the Red Devils' lone attacker for the remainder of the season. The problem is, who is the lone assailant?
"I challenge them and I need to challenge them more because we can't just score good goals," he added.
"We'll get there, no doubt, because these players want to learn. They've improved a lot."
