The Joint SAR Team Tonight Moves To Find Police Helicopters Who Are Lost In Contacts In The Waters Of East Kalimantan

The joint SAR team from Basarnas, TNI, Polri, and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of East Belitung Regency, began moving towards a location suspected to be the point where the Police's P-1103 helicopter crashed in the waters of East Belitung (East Belitung).

"Yes, now preparations to go to the ship to the location where the helicopter allegedly crashed," said the Commander of the Belitung Danang SAR Post, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 27.

According to Danang, currently the joint SAR team is about 40 personnel at Manggar Port and is preparing to go to the location of the waters which are suspected to be the point where the helicopter crashed.

"It's already crowded here, approximately 40 people from the joint team. We also brought some equipment to the location," added Danang.

He explained that the SAR operation for the NBO-105 type helicopter was officially started on Sunday night.

"Tonight we went straight to the location," he said.

He added that it was suspected that while the helicopter crashed around the Manggar waters.

"We are trying to comb the location that is suspected to be where the helicopter crashed," he added.

Until now, there have been no eyewitnesses, either residents or local fishermen, who have seen and provided information regarding the helicopter's whereabouts.

The National Police's NBO-105 helicopter with registration number P-1103 reportedly lost contact in the waters of East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands, Sunday afternoon. The helicopter departed from Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan, to HAS Hanandjoeddin Belitung International Airport, Bangka Belitung Islands.

It was reported that four members of the National Police were inside the helicopter.
