Bell 105 Helicopter Belonging To The Police Lost Contacts In East Belitung Waters
JAKARTA - The Police's Bell 105 helicopter with registration number P-1103 reportedly lost contact in the waters of East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Sunday afternoon, November 27.
The helicopter departed from Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan Province to HAS Hanandjoeddin International Airport, Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
It was reported that four members of the National Police were inside the helicopter.
"Actually, the domain is in Air Nav, but until now, the information we received from Air Nav is like that (loss contact)," said Executive General Manager (EGM) of PT Angkasa Pura II Branch of H. AS Hanandjoeddin Belitung International Airport, Khaerul Assidiqi, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 27.
He said that currently the international airport H.AS Hananjoeddin has received a request to extend airport operating hours.
"From the airport at this time, it is more of a request for an extended operating hour and so on, while just like that," he said.
Khaerul added that the operational hours of the H.AS Hanandjoeddin international airport were extended to wait for confirmation of the information regarding the helicopter that was reported missing.
"Until now we are still monitoring and standing by," he said.
Khaerul has not been able to confirm the schedule for the helicopter flight, because it is the domain of the local Air Nav airport.
"The schedule is more about Air Nav who knows," he said.
Khaerul emphasized that currently his party is still waiting for an official release regarding the news of the helicopter flight.
"There has been no official release, until now we are still standing by," he said.
