Casemiro Talks About Cristiano Ronaldo's Parting With MU

JAKARTA - Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has spoken about Cristiano Ronaldo who has terminated his contract with the club. He admitted that he had not exchanged messages with the Portuguese star.

Casemiro and Ronaldo are currently focusing on helping their country at Qatar's 2022 World Cup. Ronaldo defended Portugal, while Casemiro was in Brazilian uniform.

Although he has not communicated with Ronaldo, Casemiro believes, his former Real Madrid team-mate has thought about it carefully.

"I've never exchanged messages with him, but Cristiano is a very experienced man and knows what's good for his career," Casemiro said as reported by The Sun, Monday, November 27, 2022.

"Of course we are sad, especially in Manchester, because you are talking about one of the best players in history. However, Cristiano is an adult and knows what is best for him."

"As friends, we only wish him all the best in the world and football hopes things go well except for when he plays against us," he continued.

Casemiro and Ronaldo are reported to have a close relationship. Last October, Casemiro admitted that Ronaldo had helped him and Antony, a Brazilian player who also just joined Manchester United this season.

"Cris is our best friend. He has always helped us since we arrived," said Casemiro, then.

"He's an amazing person, I already know him from Real Madrid. We've been working together for a long time," he continued.
