Petr Cech Comeback For Chelsea Against Tottenham

JAKARTA - Veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech is back in action for the first time since May 2019. His name was included in Chelsea's squad against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Cech, who played for Chelsea from 2004-2015 and was appointed technical advisor in June 2019, has trained with the senior team this season and is a reserve goalkeeper in Chelsea's Premier League squad for the 2020-2021 season.

The Czech goalkeeper, who has won 13 major trophies, including four Premier League titles and the Champions League for Chelsea, was included as a reserve keeper for Frank Lampard's side amid fears of a resurgence in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cech, 38, retired as a player in May 2019 after playing for Arsenal and losing the Europa League final to Chelsea.

However, today, Tuesday, December 15, Cech will only strengthen Chelsea U-23 against Tottenham U-23 in Week 11 Premier League 2 Division 1 match at Kingsmeadow stadium.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's first team are fifth in the Premier League with 22 points from 12 games and will travel to 13th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers on the same day.
