Director General Hubdat Kemenhub Awarded Vehicle Award Vehicle Adhigana And Abdi Yasa 2020
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Ditjen Hubdat Kemenhub) held the award for Wahana Adhigana and the 2020 National Abdi Yasa Election.
Wahana Adhigana and the election of Abdi Yasa are a form of government appreciation for drivers of people and goods transport, as well as operators as transportation business actors, who have a vital role in improving road safety.
"Basically it aims to align public transport drivers with other development personnel in order to change the attitude and behavior of drivers to be more disciplined and responsible as well as prepare professional and quality people and goods transport drivers," said Director General of Land Transportation, Budi Setiyadi, Monday December 14th.
According to him, the driver is a profession that is required to have technical skills and professional behavior. In addition, the Wahana Adhigana award also encourages both people and goods transportation operators to create safe, secure, orderly, healthy, clean, and humane transportation services.
"Through this awarding activity, we (Kemenhub) are committed to realizing a culture of road traffic safety and security as part of the actuality of Law Number 22 Year 2009 by including qualified drivers and transport operators," explained Director General Budi.
He hopes that in the future public transport services in Indonesia will be better and can increase public trust, so that more and more private vehicle users will switch to public transportation.
There is also in the assessment mechanism for the selection of Wahana Adhigana in 2020, the assessment team assesses the aspects of administration, technical, operational, entrepreneurship, and human resources.
Of the total, as many as 20 freight drivers, 24 people transport drivers, 11 goods transport companies, which are divided into three categories, namely small companies, medium companies, and large companies.
"People transport companies consisting of 65 economic and non-economic AKAP companies, as well as 67 tourism companies which are divided into three categories, namely small companies, medium companies, and large companies," said Director of Road Transportation Directorate General of Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Ahmad Yani.
Furthermore, said Ahmad Yani, adding that in the awarding process, assessors from other agencies were also participating, namely the POLRI KORLANTAS, KNKT, Jasa Raharja, and transportation experts.
