Ganjar: E-Sports Develops Good And Must Be Developed
Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo opened the Central Java E-Sports Regional Championship (Kejurda) at Pendapa Balaikota Surakarta. For Ganjar, the sport of the mind category needs to receive more serious guidance.
The development of E-Sports is very good, with the emergence of talented athletes, and the rise of events or competitions at various levels.
"I'm happy that the development is quite good. And now E-Sport's interest comes from all over Central Java and even to remote areas. It turns out that our talented child has great talent," said Ganjar, Saturday, November 26.
From there, the existence of these sports needs serious coaching. In addition to improving the quality of the athletes, it will also be able to make Central Java and Indonesia proud in the international arena.
"And, I thank the Central Java E-Sports administrators who continue to foster, now athletes from remote areas appear. In the past, people thought that this game was only played in urban children, and that is what we need to develop today. this kind of activity," he said.
The guidance, said Ganjar, is a means to make the selection continuously carried out. The more fostered and honed in many championship events the athletes will be even sharper in their abilities.
"We need to give it to children as a facility so that the selection process is treated continuously, there are lots of events so that our E-Sports athletes will have a lot of playing fields. So that later in the selection process in higher competitions they have more opportunities and know. more ready," he said.
Meanwhile, the Daily Chairperson of the Central Java E-Sports Association (Iespa), Zinedine Alam Ganjar said that the E-Sports Regional Office was carried out to find and sharpen Central Java athletes. Later, the champions will be sent as representatives of Central Java at the 21st National Sports Week (PON) in Aceh.
"There are five game branches that are competed, this is in accordance with the branches that will be competed in PON in Aceh and North Sumatra in 2024," he said.
The five game branches, including Lopaha, were followed by 9 teams, mobile legends 29 teams, PUBG 30 teams, free fire 27 teams, and e-football 16 teams. The activity was carried out starting from the November 23-24 qualification, then offline November 26-27 2022 at the Surakarta City Hall pendapa.
"Each team is a representative from the district/city. And this is a total of 434 athletes (people) participated," he said.
