Erick Thohir Will Build Earthquake-Resilient Health Centers In Cianjur

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said that in a disaster situation there was a need needed at that time but there was also post-disaster assistance. Regarding post-earthquakes, Erick said he would build a health center that was resistant to the natural disaster.

This was conveyed by Erick Thohir while visiting earthquake victims in Berenuk Village, Limabangansari, Cianjur, West Java, Friday, November 25.

"For post-earthquake assistance, we will build earthquake-resistant health centers that can be maximized as health posts and distribution of medicines in the future," he said in an official statement, Friday, November 25.

Furthermore, Erick said that his party would focus on assistance carried out by 58 SOEs to 40 villages from 137 villages affected by the Cianjur earthquake.

Representatives for residents of RT 01 RW 02 Kampung Berenuk stated that as many as 700 residents were affected. He also expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by BUMN.

For your information, until now the BUMN Task Force continues to send assistance to help earthquake victims through 3 main posts of the BUMN Task Force, 9 aid posts, 4 health posts and 4 public kitchens spread across various points of the disaster-affected area.

In addition, as a form of collaboration with 58 SOEs, so far the Ministry of SOEs has deployed 349 volunteers and 61 health workers to help more than 60 thousand refugees get temporary assistance and housing.

In terms of infrastructure, the BUMN Task Force has sent 23 units of generator and sanitation assistance, 33 heavy equipment assistance, 17 ambulances, 2 rescue units, and 168 units of tents.

"In addition to the collaboration of 58 SOEs, we also encourage synergy with other Ministries and Institutions, hopefully we can maximize aid and relieve the affected communities," explained Erick.
