The PJU KSD Light Of The Governor Of DKI In Menteng Fails To Signal, The Cable Is Stolen By The Thief

JAKARTA - The 100-meter-long public street lighting cable (PJU) along Yusuf Adiwinata Street, Menteng, has been stolen by thieves. The PJU lamppole cable was originally scheduled to be tested for abuse on Friday, November 25, today.

Head of the Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept., Agustio, confirmed the alleged theft of cables on the sidewalks of the DKI Jakarta Governor's Regional Strategic Activity (KSD) program in Menteng, Central Jakarta.

"We have received news from the vendor. It's a PJU light cable (which is missing). The cable again wants to be installed with a light, maybe the contractor was careless so he forgot to close it and then left it taken by people (stolen)," Agustio said when contacted by VOI, Friday, November 25.

Agustio explained that the location where the cable was lost was one of the KSD areas of the Governor of DKI Jakarta. However, he said he had not reported it to the police because the person in charge was still on a third party.

"If all projects related to sidewalks are indeed the Governor's KSD. About 100 meters of cables are missing. Currently, it is still the responsibility of a vendor or third party. The cable has not been installed, again installing lights (wires) are being taken," he said.

Agustio explained that the plan is for all PJU lights to be tested for abuse on Friday.

"Today the plan is to have a test on. It seems that (the cable) has been changed. The target is to complete (the PJU light installation) in early December 2022 around the first Sunday. All PJU Lamoys have been installed, only PLN has to turn on the power of the electricity," he said.
