JAKARTA - Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police (Kapolda), Inspector General Fadil Imran, said that his party did not want to build a narrative regarding the death of six special FPI laksar members on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Monday, December 7.
He conveyed this after he was questioned at the Office of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM). During the examination, Fadil said that he had conveyed a number of things including facts in the field.
"We want to present facts, we do not want to build a narrative and we will support everyone," said Fadil at the Komnas HAM Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 14.
He emphasized that his party will try to be cooperative and will be open to investigations conducted by Komnas HAM.
Not only that, he also said that all existing facts and data related to the shooting incident would be conveyed in a transparent and accountable manner. Including, the facts based on the scientific crime investigation.
"We will provide facts based on scientific crime investigation, we don't want to build a narrative," he said.
"And I obey the law today, I was called I came, I came alone, not accompanied by many people," he said.
As previously reported, in addition to examining the Head of Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran, Komnas HAM also investigated another person, namely the President Director of PT Jasa Marga, Subakti Syukur.
It is known that the police attack carried out by Rizieq Shihab's army took place at around 00.30 WIB Monday, December 7 in the morning.
At that time, the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran, said that the police received news that the mass of supporters of Rizieq Shihab would be deployed regarding the investigation circulating in many WhatsApp groups.
The Regional Police investigated the truth of the information and followed the vehicle Rizieq was in. On the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Fadil said the officers' vehicles were intercepted and then attacked using firearms and sharp weapons.
"Members who were threatened with their safety because they were attacked, then took a firm measure of measure, so that the group suspected of being MRS followers, totaling 10, died as many as 6 people," said Fadil.
However, this was denied by the FPI spokesman, Munarman. Munarman emphasized that Rizieq had traveled to attend recitation at the residence of his immediate family.
"The news is slander. Habib Rizieq is heading outside Jakarta to attend the nuclear family recitation. I do not want to mention where it is. This is only a nuclear family recitation, it does not involve any parties," said Munarman.
Munarman also denied that Rizieq's followers had firearms. Therefore, Munarman emphasized that no shootout was carried out by the police and members of the laskar.
