SAR Jakarta Send 2 Rescue Team Help The Evacuation Of Earthquake Victims In Cianjur
JAKARTA - Two rescue teams from the Jakarta SAR Office were deployed to the location of the earthquake that hit Cianjur Regency, West Java. From the results of the mapping of the Jakarta SAR Office, the impact of the worst earthquake occurred in Gasol Village, Cigenang District.
"After the earthquake occurred, the Jakarta SAR Office sought information about the impacts caused after the earthquake, as well as mapping locations to send rescue personnel to various areas that needed SAR assistance," said Head of the Jakarta SAR Office, Fazli when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, November 23.
Two rescue teams from the Jakarta SAR Office were deployed to the location most severely affected by the earthquake in Gasol Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency.
"Personnel were deployed by bringing excitation and medical equipment to the location to carry out SAR operations," he said.
In addition, rescue personnel were deployed to assist the assessment process and the evacuation process for earthquake victims in Cianjur.
"The rescue personnel joined other joint SAR personnel who had arrived from the start. All rescue personnel must be vigilant in the evacuation process because they are worried that there will be aftershocks based on information from the BMKG," he said.
Previously, it was reported that the Head of BNPB, Lieutenant General TNI Suharyanto, stated that from the latest information regarding victims of natural disasters in Cianjur district, 268 victims died.
"Among them, 122 bodies have been identified," he said in an official statement to reporters, Tuesday, November 22.
Currently, BNPB is still looking for victims who have not been found.
"There are still 151 missing victims. Whether this is part that has not been identified, we will confirm it further," he said.
