Polda Metro Explains Council Members Who Are Arrested For Methamphetamine, Not DPRD Or Parpol Cadres

JAKARTA - A member of the Thousand Islands Council with the initials MJ (35) was arrested for consuming methamphetamine. However, Polda Metro emphasized that he was not a member of the DKI DPRD.

MJ was arrested at his residence on Friday, November 18. He was secured based on the development process.

"Not the DPRD but the district council," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Wednesday, November 23.

According to Zulpan, MJ is a member of the council at the district/city level in DKI Jakarta Province. In fact, he is not a member of any political party.

In addition, it is explained, the Regency Council is the representative of each sub-district that is intended by residents. The level is under the Regent.

"Not under political parties. The Regency Council is under the Regent," he said.

The arrest of MJ began when members of the Thousand Islands Police received information about a drug party. So that it was followed up and managed to secure five people on Kelapa Island.

Those who were arrested included A (19), AL (27), FD (26), AL (30), and AI (26).

From the results of the examination, one of the suspects said that he got it from the PJLP Satpol PP of the Thousand Islands Regency with the initials NF (33). So, immediately secured.

Then, NF was examined intensively. To investigators, he admitted that he had consumed methamphetamine at MJ's house.

On that basis, the police immediately secured him at home. In fact, from the results of the search found a methamphetamine suction device.
