Terungkap! Ini Sosok Menteri 'Dremawan Yang Kelap Berikan Hibah Miliaran Setiap Pekan
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani revealed that the government continues its commitment to infrastructure development as a strategic capital in achieving its ideals towards developed countries.
The Minister of Finance explained that the government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has consistently carried out construction of a number of facilities, such as dams, toll roads, housing, to bridges and college campuses.
After being completed, he continued, the various facilities were then transferred to third parties to be managed and utilized with the status of state assets.
"I get reports from the Ministry of PUPR almost every week giving grants (to assets that have been completed) to many parties, such as campuses, social institutions, and others that can be used by the community," he said in Jakarta on Wednesday, November 23.
The Minister of Finance added that a number of these assets were established thanks to state money in the state budget. Then, the transferred assets have the status of grants so that the listing is no longer within the scope of the Ministry of Finance as a state treasury institution.
"I often tell Pak Bas (Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of PUPR), he is extraordinary because almost every week he gives grants, and his grants do not play around reaching billions, tens of billions, sometimes hundreds of billions," he said.
Furthermore, the Minister of Finance said that the concept of development must continue to be sustainable and can be enjoyed by the wider community. The reason is, every development fund that disburses from the state budget is the contribution of the Indonesian people.
"We need to build character, if we use people's money, we must be able to produce something that is felt by the benefits of the people as well," he stressed.
For information, the realization of the PUPR Ministry's budget ceiling as of August 23, 2022 is IDR 47.7 trillion. This figure is equivalent to 41 percent of the total budget of IDR 116.3 trillion with physical progress of 46.9 percent.
