Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo And MU Agreed To Separate
JAKARTA - Manchester United's togetherness with Cristiano Ronaldo is over. Both sides agreed to separate.
On the club's official website, MU issued a statement that it had reached a mutual agreement with the player to terminate the contract, which would only expire at the end of the season.
"Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Manchester United through a mutual agreement, which will take effect as soon as possible," the official Manchester United statement said, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
"The club thanked him for the enormous contribution during the two periods at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishing him and his family the best in the future," the statement continued.
This is the aftermath of Ronaldo's controversial interview with Piers Morgan, some time ago. The 37-year-old has openly criticized Manchester United and his manager Erik ten Hag in the interview.
The dispute between MU and Ronaldo started last summer. The Portuguese player then revealed some of the ugliness of MU, the manager, management and behavior of young players in an interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford two years ago, has scored 27 goals in 54 appearances with the Red Devils.
