Central Java And Switzerland Develop Cooperation To Face Global Recession Threats, Said Ganjar Pranowo

JAKARTA - The Central Java Provincial Government and the Swiss state government have established cooperation steps to deal with the threat of a global recession in 2023.

The establishment of the cooperation was marked by a meeting between the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and the Head of the Manpower Directorate of the Ministry of State Affairs Switzerland Boris Zurcher in Semarang, Tuesday, November 22.

Boris said that so far his country has collaborated with the Central Java Provincial Government and he admits that he is not worried about the predicate for a global recession.

He said that the trade conditions of the two countries have been conducive and can still be developed, especially since there have been free trade agreements between the two countries.

"I don't have a glassball to predict conditions next year, but I think it will continue and the commitment to cooperation with Central Java is not only for a few days, but for the long term," he said, quoted by Antara.

In addition, Switzerland already has several projects in Central Java Province, so it is currently continuing and deepening existing cooperation.

Ganjar appreciates the cooperation that has been built with Switzerland and hopes that in the future several unreachable sectors will attract investment from Switzerland.

The meeting was also attended by Swiss Ambassador to Indonesia Olivier Zender, Head of Economic Cooperation Dominique Paravicini, and Head of Trade Promotion Unit Monica Rubiolo.

The Central Java Provincial Government was attended by the Head of the Central Java Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) Ratna Kawuri, Head of the Central Java Cooperatives and SMEs Service Ema Rachmawati, and Head of the Central Java Manpower and Transmigration Office Sakina Rosellasari.
