2022 World Cup, France Vs Australia: Giroud DetektANCE, Les Blues At 4-1 Socceroos
JAKARTA - The French national team started the 2022 World Cup Group D campaign by serving Australia at Al Janoub Stadium, in the city of Al Wakrah.. In this match, AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud scored a brace in a 4-1 Les Blues victory.
Australia took the reigning World Cup champion by surprise when Craigten scored in the 9th minute. Receiving a low cross from the right, the Adelaide United player brought the purple 1-0 Socceros.
In the 26th minute, Te Hernandez's newly signed in to replace his injured brother, Lucas Hernandez, was greeted by Adrien Rabiot. Alone in front of the Australian goal, midfielder Juventus, put Les Blues level.

In the second half, Mbape took Les Blues away with his goal in the 68th minute. Receiving a pass from Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele, the unguarded PSG striker, perfectly headed the ball into the Australian goal. 3-1, Didier Deschamps' team took the lead.

Meanwhile, Giroud, managed to match the record for the most goals in the French national team previously held by the legend of Les Blues, Thierry Henry with 51 goals.

Socceros tried to catch up with a substitution. Awer Mabil replaces Riley McGree. However, it was Ibrahima Konate who almost added to France's lead in the final minutes of the match. The header was picked by the Kangaroo Country Team goalkeeper.
When the referee sounded the long whistle, France still won 4-1.
