Fadli Zon Is Ready To Be The Guarantee Of The Suspension Of Rizieq Shihab's Detention
JAKARTA - Member of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction Fadli Zon is ready to guarantee Rizieq Shihab, who is a suspect in a case of incitement related to a crowd at the wedding of his son and the Prophet's birthday in Petamburan.
"Hopefully this guarantee can postpone the detention of Habib Rizieq," said Fadli Zon in the Fadli Zon Official YouTube account.
He regretted the process that happened to Rizieq Shihab. Both from the hasty process of suspicion, detention, and especially the killing of 6 civilians who were members of the FPI who, God willing, were martyred, on December 7.
He added that on December 13, when Rizieq was questioned as a suspect for a dozen hours about the questionable and very vague allegations of health protocols, Rizieq was finally arrested by the police.
"Thousands of cases of violation of health protocols. Only one was processed in an extraordinary way, even through murder," he continued.
Therefore, as a member of the DPR RI, he was willing to guarantee himself to postpone the detention of Habib Rizieq.
"Hopefully more and more people will do the same. Because I believe, many Muslims believe that Rizieq is innocent. Even if there was a violation against the crowd at that time, then a fine has been paid," he said.
In this case, Rizieq is a suspect in suspected health protocol violations. In addition, there were five other people who were also named suspects in the alleged violation of protocol at Rizieq's celebration.
Rizieq had scheduled his questioning twice by Polda Metro Jaya. However, at that time he did not come to answer the summons on the grounds of restoring health.
He was charged under Articles 160 and 216 of the Criminal Code. Article 160 of the Criminal Code concerning Incitement to Violence and Not Complying with the provisions of the law, with the threat of six years imprisonment or a fine of IDR 4,500.
Meanwhile, Article 216 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code concerning Obstacles to Legal Provisions. The threat is imprisonment of four months and two weeks or a fine of Rp9,000.
