Bogor Peak Track Closed 12 Hours On New Year's Eve

CISARUA - Bogor Police will close the Puncak route for 12 hours to be precise at the exit and entrance of the Gadog Toll Road, Ciawi, Bogor Regency, on New Year's Eve 2021.

"In order to reduce traffic density and prevent the spread of COVID-19 around the Puncak route on New Year's Eve 2021," said Head of Traffic Unit for Bogor Police Iptu Dicky Pranata quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 13,

According to Dicky, the route closes for 12 hours, starting at 18.00 WIB on December 31, 2020 until 06.00 WIB, January 1, 2021.

For motorists who want to travel to Cianjur or Bandung, he said, they can use alternative roads as long as the Puncak route is closed. There are two alternative roads, namely via Sukabumi and via Jonggol.

The alternative road via Jonggol has a distance of 87 kilometers with an estimated travel time of 3 hours by route: Cibubur-Cileungsi-Jonggol Cariu-Cikalong-Cianjur.

The second alternative road, he continued, via Sukabumi has a distance of 88 kilometers with an estimated travel time of 3 hours by route: Ciawi - Cicurug - Cibadak - Sukabumi - Cianjur.

The closure of the Puncak Cisarua route is not the first time this has been carried out by the Bogor Police, but is carried out every New Year's night.

This was confirmed by the police to anticipate vehicle congestion on the route connecting Bogor Regency and Cianjur Regency.
