Molotov Terror At Makassar And Gowa Police Posts, Perpetrators Still Hunted
MAKASSAR - Terror throwing Molotov cocktails occurred at two police posts in Makassar and Gowa, South Sulawesi. The police are still hunting for the perpetrators.
"The incident (at the Makassar police post) is estimated to be around 04.30 WITA. Burn marks on the banner and the front wall of the post, ”said Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, confirmed by VOI, Sunday, December 13.
Meanwhile in Gowa, the perpetrator threw Molotov at around 07.00 WITA. The location of the Molotov throwing was at the Lantas Post, the city limit of the Gowa Police.
"We are still investigating the perpetrators and their motives," said Ibrahim.
Previously, the Head of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Inspector General Merdisyam, said that his party conducted identification at the location of the incident. Security at the police post was tightened.
"That it is true that there has been an attempt to burn down the Traffic Post with the throwing of Molotov cocktails at the Makassar Polrestabes Police fly over traffic post and the Gowa Polres Satlantas post," said Inspector General Merdisyam to reporters, Sunday, December 13.
Merdisyam explained, initially two officers of the Makassar Polrestabes Traffic Police who were on guard at the night at the post heard the sound of broken glass from the front of the post.
The member immediately checked the front of the post and saw that the banner attached to the front of the post had been burned.
"There were burn marks on the front wall of the post. Members also found broken bottles," said Merdisyam.
Meanwhile, Molotov's terror at the Gowa police post was discovered by a policeman who was passing in front of a traffic post.
"He stopped to check inside and saw burn marks on a table and broken glass bottles," said Merdisyam.
