Police Posts In Makassar And Gowa Were Pelted With Molotov Cocktails
JAKARTA - There was an attack in the form of throwing Molotov cocktails at the Makassar Police and Polres Gowa, South Sulawesi, today at around 03.00 WITA.
"That it is true that there has been an attempt to burn down the Lantas Post by throwing Molotov cocktails at the Makassar Polrestabes Police fly over traffic post and the Gowa Police Satlantas post," South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Merdisyam told reporters, Sunday, December 13.
Merdisyam explained, initially two officers of the Makassar Polrestabes Traffic Police who were on guard at the night at the post heard the sound of broken glass from the front of the post.
The member immediately checked the front of the post and saw that the banner attached to the front of the post had been burned.
"There were burn marks on the front wall of the post. Members also found broken bottles," said Merdisyam.
Meanwhile, regarding the incident in Gowa, a member of the National Police was initially passing in front of a traffic post. "He stopped to check inside and saw burn marks on a table and broken glass bottles," he said.
The throwing of the Molotov bombs resulted in burnt damage on the front banner and wall of the traffic police post. Furthermore, the police took a number of steps to investigate.
