Haedar Nashir Achieves The Highest Voice Re-Association As Chairman Of PP Muhammadiyah
Haedar Nashir has a great chance of becoming the General Chair of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP) for the 2022-2027 period. He got the most votes through the election of e-voting at the 48th Muhammadiyah Congress
Chairman of the Electoral Committee Dahlan Rais said that as many as 13 of the 39 prospective participants were elected as members of PP Muhammadiyah at the congress which took place at the KH Ahmad Dahlan UMS Edurium, Central Java.
Of the 13 names selected, Haedar Nashir won 2,203 votes in the first place in the e-voting election. Followed by Abdul Mu'ti and Anwar Abbas who won 2,159 votes and 1,820 votes, respectively.
A total of 13 elected members of PP Muhammadiyah were then taken to the meeting of the Muhammadiyah Congress at the same location today, Sunday, November 20.
Dahlan Rais said that from the acquisition of the name, it is likely that the general chairman will get the most votes. This is also to appreciate those who get the most votes.
"The general chairman who was elected in the 13-person meeting, must be asked for approval from the congress. Meanwhile, the general secretary is appointed by the elected general chairman," said Dahlan in Solo, Sunday, November 20.
However, said Dahlan, there is a history that becomes the general chairman, not the one chosen by the muktamirin.
He gave an example, at the congress in Purwokerto in the 1950s, no elected leadership wanted to become general chairman. Finally, they asked Buya Sutan Mansur in West Sumatra to lead Muhammadiyah. Buya was willing to then move to Java to become chairman.
