Husband And Wife Arrested By Police For Suspected Of Selling Sabu-Sabu

JAKARTA - The Tanjungpinang Police, Riau Islands, arrested a husband and wife in a rented house on Jalan Cempedak, West Tanjungpinang District, for allegedly selling methamphetamine-type drugs.

"The husband and wife are known to have the initials FN (37) and SD (32). The two were secured Thursday (3/12), around 20.30 WIB," said Head of the Satres Narcotics for Tanjungpinang Police, AKP Ronny Burungudju in a press release, reported by Antara, Saturday, December 12th.

Ronny said that the arrest of the husband and wife started with a woman with the initials NP (32) who was secured by her members on Wednesday, December 2 in the morning.

At that time, he said, the police received information from the public that NP was keeping crystal methamphetamine at his house on Jalan Jawa Number 17, Tanjungpinang Barat District. Members of the Narcotics Satres immediately made the arrest witnessed by the local RT.

"From the arrest of NP, evidence of shabu-shabu weighing less than 1 gram was found and a suction device," he said.

After being interrogated, he continued, the evidence was bought jointly by NP with SD. At that time, the shabu-shabu was immediately taken by the FN perpetrator, the SD perpetrator's husband.

"The urine test results of the three perpetrators also tested positive for drugs," he said.

Ronny emphasized that the three perpetrators had violated Article 114 paragraph (1) and / or Article 112 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of 5 years.
