Complete Bioethenol Factory, Barata Indonesia Handover Work With PTPN X
JAKARTA - PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) completed the work of the Gempolkrep Bioethanol Factory, Mojokerto, and handed over the project to PTPN X as the owner.
This project was previously also visited by President Joko Widodo on the sidelines of his visit at the opening of the sugarcane bioethanol program for energy security.
This project is a continuation of Phase I's work and currently Barata Indonesia, as the project implementing contractor, has completed the performance test with excellent results.
Marketing Director of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero), Sulistyo Handoko, said that the completion of this project is one of the company's commitments to support the creation of environmentally friendly energy.
"The completion of this bioethanol project is Barata Indonesia's commitment to support government programs in ecosystem development through downstreaming the sugar industry which encourages environmentally friendly food and energy security," said Sulis in a statement to the media, Thursday, November 17.
Furthermore, he explained, in this work Barata Indonesia succeeded in modernizing process technology to increase efficiency in the use of droplet raw materials, including working on downstream business facilities, namely the Fuel Grade Temphatoll (FGE) redistribution facility to Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) with a quality food grade with a capacity of 100 KLPD and a new CO2 Plant unit that played a role in reducing carbon emissions.
Meanwhile, in responding to business challenges, the Company is currently transforming into a company that focuses on manufacturing and maintenance, Engineering, & Services (MES) businesses as well as equipment suppliers to support Engineering, Procurement & Contractor (EPC) work in three business sectors, namely manufacturing, hydromechanicals and industrial building of components and machinery.
In order to create competitiveness and market expansion, the company is collaborating with strategic partners through a corporate action marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation, from Japan for the local cement industry content and PT Andritz for the pulp and paper industry in the Asian market.
Not only that, other corporate actions were also carried out by Barata Indonesia through the provision of components for electric bus vehicles in the G20 presidency.
In the electric bus, Barata Indonesia supplies components of Front Bying Arm, Front Disc Brake Casing, Front Motor Hub, Steering Link, Front Connector Pad and produces Fast Charging Units or Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).
