COVID-19 Cases In Jakarta Are Still High, With Total Reaching 150,250 Cases
JAKARTA - The total number of positives for the COVID-19 pandemic in Jakarta has reached 150,250 people. Today there are an increase of 1,232 cases.
Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on the corona.jakarta.go.id page, in Jakarta, the increase in positive cases of 1,232 cases was the result of a swab examination (PCR swab test) on Thursday, December 10.
The PCR test on December 10 was carried out on 14,843 specimens with a positive result of 1,232 and 10,663 negative.
The addition of daily positive cases was 1,232 cases, higher than the addition of 1,180 cases Thursday, December 10, Tuesday, December 8 with 1,174 cases.
Meanwhile, the number of patients recovering from COVID-19 in Jakarta today is 1,179 people, bringing the total to 135,545 people or around 90.2 percent of the total positive cases of 150,250.
Of the total positive cases of 149,018, 11,803 people were still being treated / isolated, 2,902 people died or 1.9 percent of the total positive cases.
Until the last test on Thursday, December 10, there were around 2,279,432 specimens that had been examined with the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test to find out the traces of COVID-19 in five areas of DKI Jakarta through 67 laboratories.
From the number of tests above, DKI Jakarta recorded the percentage of positive cases based on the number of tests or the "positivity rate" for COVID-19 during the past week in Jakarta at 9.2 percent.
This figure is very far above the percentage limit set by the World Health Organization (WHO) in a week for a region, which requires no more than five percent to be categorized as a safe area.
The percentage of positive cases in Jakarta in total since the start of the March 2020 pandemic was 8.3 percent.
