Winning In The Pilkada Of Central Java And Yogyakarta, PDIP: Strengthening The Bull Cage
JAKARTA - The PDI Perjuangan DPP appreciates the performance of the party structure and society of Central Java and DI Yogyakarta for the victory of the 2020 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in the two regions.
Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP Hasto Kristiyanto said that the victory of the two regions proved that it was still a bull cage and Soekarnois, not being uprooted from its original roots.
"The principle of ojo pedhot oyot, which means not to be deprived of our roots, has actually been proven in the field. So that the victory in Central Java and Yogyakarta is the victory of the Marhaen people, affirming as a bull cage," said Hasto in a written statement in Jakarta Between, Friday, 11 December.
The victory of pure PDI-P cadres in the Pilkada of Central Java and Yogyakarta, he said, was a big responsibility to create a good, clean and prosperous government for the people.
He gave an example that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has shown how to work well.
When he became mayor, he said, Jokowi was fixing the economy that was collapsing and rehabilitating traditional markets. The Laweyan area is a batik center whose owners are mostly Masjumi Islam assisted. Good leadership will generate strong legitimacy in the eyes of the people.
"Bung Karno said that no struggle was in vain. The greatest weapon of being a leader is joining the forces of the people. That is the main strategy," said Hasto.
Megawati has always conveyed this principle. Whatever negative issues are raised, such as the issue of political dynasties, Ibu Mega always says that our main strength is to organize the people. Get closer to the people, he said.
Chairman of the DPP PDIP for Elections Bambang 'Patjul' Wuryanto said, based on quick count results and data from his party's National Election Witnesses Body (BSPN), PDIP had won 17 of the 21 regions that held the 2020 Pilkada in Central Java.
"Of the 21 regions that carried out the regional elections, PDI Perjuangan cadres won in 17 regions," said Bambang.
The chairman of the Central Java PDIP DPD said that the target of his party's congress was victory in 60 percent of Pilkada or around 15 regional elections in Central Java.
In fact, with 17 regions, this target was exceeded and confirmed Central Java as a bull cage that cannot be uprooted from its roots.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the PDI-P Yogyakarta DPD Nuryadi explained that there were three Pilkada held in his area. Two of them were won by PDI Perjuangan, namely in Sleman and Bantul. Only fierce in Gunung Kidul.
Meanwhile in Sleman, a pure PDI Perjuangan cadre, namely the Deputy Chairman of the DPC Danang Miharsa, who advanced, came out as the winner. Meanwhile in Bantul, DPC Deputy Chairman Joko Purnomo was also a candidate and emerged as the winner based on the results of a quick count.
"We will reclaim both of them because they were released before. We thank the people of Yogyakarta. It was not in vain," said Nuryadi.
