JAKARTA - The coach of the U-16 national team Bima Sakti said that his squad still has many shortcomings, especially in defense and in finishing.

That is what made Bima provide a lot of material about it at the training camp (TC) in Sleman, Yogyakarta which was held since December 6, 2020.

"From the beginning we practiced here, there was always a game situation, training for final completion and improving the organization of the rear sector. We reflect on the video footage of our time testing against the United Arab Emirates," Bima said, quoted by Antara from the official PSSI website in Jakarta, Friday.

The U-16 national team match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was held on October 21 and 24, 2020 in the UAE.

At that time, Alexandro Kamuru and his friends lost two times with a score of 2-3 and 0-4, respectively.

In order to further sharpen the tactical, technical and physical quality of his foster children, Bima Sakti scheduled an internal match every weekend.

There were no trial matches against outside teams during TC in Sleman due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We always schedule an internal game every weekend to see physical development, then tactically individually and in teams, then in terms of team play tactics. Hopefully it can be better. But still the most important thing is the players' health is well maintained," he said. Bima.

A total of 26 players took part in the U-16 National Team TC in Sleman, Yogyakarta, which took place from 6-23 December 2020.

The TC is a preparation for the U-16 Asian Cup which will take place in 2021 in Bahrain.

At the tournament, Indonesia, which was the only representative of ASEAN, was in Group D along with Japan, Saudi Arabia and China.
